i think this suffers from two things. One, Multiple personality disorder, and two, way too much delay. First on the multiple personality disorder you have a good hook in the beginning that isn't developed. i.e. your second pattern sounds completely unrelated to your first. Not that there is anything wrong with contrast, but you offered no bridgeing material to make the transition. The delay is a bit distracting and it masks the rhythm of the beat you selected. That said, your instrument is in the correct register, and it is playing a bass-like part. If you were to back down on the delay and imporve the mix this would be very good. On your post, you were not very descriptive about your compositional priocess. Telling your listeners that you just winged it doesn't make me want to download your music or tell a freind. It's also not the best indicator of you submiting your best work.
